Any New Boot Campers Out There?

Occasionally, I'll post a message that will invite dissertating lurkers to join in dissertation boot camp for real. This is one of those messages.

Please delurk and join us!

All you have to do is send me an email, and I'll send you an invitation to join. It's that simple. That way, you can comment to all the wonderful posts you find here, but you can also post and we'll give you feedback and encouragement.

If you want to join DBC, please send an email to: partsnpieces [at] gmail [dot] com.

B - out of curiosity, what kind of traffic do we get here at The Camp? do we have a lot of lurkers? do you have a secret sitemeter that we can't see? you sneaky devil you. hook us up with some stats!

Damn, busted! Yep, there are simple stats on this blog, and the site meter is invisible. (If I made it visible, you'd be able to see the stats on my other blogs, and those are top secret!)

But we have a fair amount of traffic. I don't always know who is logging on and poking around, but I do know that probably 20 to 30 people a day log on and look around. Some of these folks are referred from our individual blogs, some from search engine searches, and some are just random blogger referrals (drive by blog reading).

Some of our visitors return (again and again) . . . and those folks, I think, are the lurkers, and I want to invite them to delurk. If they wish to remain anonymous and just look in, that's fine. But we are a fun bunch. :-)

I hope that none of you mind that there are stats on this blog (only the last 100 hits are saved as it's a free stat counter). If you have concerns, let me know. I'll remove it if you think it's weird.

you sneaky devil, you! i suspected you were holdin out on us. but it's all good. i don't care about the secret sitemeter don't see why it would make a difference. i was just curious about the type of traffic we get. i know i check out my sitemeter regularly just to see what type of search terms bring people to my place. or to get an idea who my "regulars" are. my place probably isn't nearly as popular/visited as yours and the other boot-campers; 20-30 / day is a pretty respectable number!!
