Progress

I just dropped off my revised IRB proposal at the Office of Sponsored Research.

I've made a good bit of progress on my diss proposal revisions and have made a few small but important methodological changes that will make my project much better, I think.

I went to Barnes & Noble last night and bought Getting Things Done. I've seen it mentioned in a few places (A Delicate Boy, CultureCat, 43folders), so I've decided to check it out for myself. Anyone here have experience with it?

I don't have experience with it, but I've heard about it, too (from the same sources!). I'd be interested in learning more . . .

Yeah, I've been thinking about this too, mostly after reading about it on Delicate Boy. Let me know what you think.

I'll let y'all know once I have something to say about it. My challenge right now is to find/make the time to read the freakin book! I need the book in order to be able to prioritize so I have time to read the book. (small brain implosion)

The gist is that you write everything down when you think about it, and you take action on actionable items immediately. Sounds like good advice. People get really obsessive about GTD, and though I don't find it so obsessible, and I don't think you have to run out and implement everything in his program, there are lots of good insights.
